# What things mean: Experiences

This page explains every label, badge, number, warning and button on three
screens: the **Experiences** list, the **Create an experience** flow, and an
experience's own page (the editor), including its schedules, add-ons and the
right-hand rail.

## Experiences › The list

### What is the Experiences page?

It lists everything guests can reserve. The subtitle sums it up: "What guests
can book — standing offerings and one-time events". One-time events are listed
first, by date, and recurring experiences come after them.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### What does the "Add experience" button do?

It opens the guided **Create an experience** flow. You pick what kind of thing
you're offering, then its schedule, then capacity and price. Nothing is saved
until you finish the last step.

**See also:** [Create your first experience](/getting-started/create-your-first-experience)

### What does the "Reorder" button do?

It opens "Reorder experiences", where you set the order guests see in the
Experiences list on your store and staff see on the POS Book tile. The
Recurring experiences list on this page follows it too; events keep their
date order. It shows when you have two or more experiences that are not
archived.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### How do I use the "Reorder experiences" window?

Each row is one experience, numbered in its current place, with its thumbnail
and name. Date-only events are listed too, with an "Event" badge — this is
their place on your store's list and the POS cards; on this page they stay
by date. Drag a row by its handle on the left, or press its up and down
arrows on the right, then press "Save order". "Cancel" closes the window
without changing anything.

### What does the "Draft" badge in the Reorder experiences window mean?

The experience is still a draft, so guests do not see it yet. You can still
give it a place in the order, ready for when you publish it. Archived
experiences are not in the window.

### What does "Order saved" mean?

Your new order is stored. Your store's Experiences list, the POS Book tile
and the Recurring experiences list on this page now follow it.

### In what order are my experiences listed?

In the order you set with "Reorder". Until you reorder, they are alphabetical.
A new experience lands after the last one you ordered; open "Reorder" again to
move it.

### Why is there a blue "Next: …" banner at the top of the page?

That is the setup guide pointing at your next step, such as "Next: review your
cancellation policy" or "Next: place the booking widget on your storefront". It
appears once at least one experience has a schedule. It goes away when every
setup step is done, or when you dismiss the setup guide on Home.

### What is the "Events" card?

It lists every one-time event date, one row per date. If one experience has three
event dates, you see three rows, because each date sells its own tickets. The
card only appears once you have at least one event date.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### What does "3 upcoming" or "Nothing on the calendar" under Events mean?

It is how many event dates are today or later. "Nothing on the calendar" means
every event date you have is already in the past.

### What do the "Upcoming" and "Past" buttons do?

They switch the list between event dates from today on (soonest first) and event
dates that have passed (most recent first). The page always opens on Upcoming.

### What is the little calendar square on an event row?

It is the event's date: the month on top, the day below. It lets you scan the
list by date.

### Why is the date square faded on some events?

A faded date square means the event date has passed. Past events also show a
grey fill bar instead of a green one.

### What does the "Today" badge on an event mean?

The event takes place today, counted in your property's time zone.

### What does the "Draft" badge on an event mean?

The experience this date belongs to is still a draft, so nobody can reserve it
yet. Open it and set its status to Active to start selling.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

### What does the "Archived" badge on an event mean?

The experience has been retired. It can't be reserved, but its reservations and
reports stay as they were.

### What does the "Sold out" badge on an event mean?

Tickets sold for that date have reached the event's ticket limit, so the
date is full. It shows only on upcoming events, and only for events on Manual
capacity or Open; a floor-map or whole-venue event never shows it, because
its tables or room decide when it is full.

### What does "12 / 40 tickets" on an event mean?

Twelve tickets have been sold for that date, out of 40 available. The count
is guests, not reservations, so a party of four counts as four. The limit is the
date's own "Tickets" number when you set one, otherwise the experience's "Max per
slot". It shows for events on Manual capacity or Open; floor-map and
whole-venue events show "12 guests booked" instead.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### Which reservations count toward an event's "sold" number?

Every reservation for that date that was not cancelled: pending payment,
confirmed, checked in, seated, completed and no-show. A no-show still bought a
ticket, so it counts.

### Does a past event's ticket count go down after the event?

No. Completed and no-show reservations keep counting, so a past event shows
what it sold. Only a cancellation takes guests off the figure. Use Reports to
see how many actually came.

**See also:** [What each report answers](/reports/what-each-report-answers)

### Why does an event show "8 booked" without a "/ number"?

The event is on Manual capacity or Open and has no ticket limit, so there is
nothing to count against. The number is still the guests booked for that date,
counted the same way.

### What does "8 guests booked" on an event mean?

It is how many guests have reserved that date, counting a party of four as
four. Events that use the Venue floor map or Whole venue show this instead of
"8 / 40 tickets", with no fill bar and no "Sold out" badge: their tables or
the room decide when they are full, not a ticket number.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What does the green bar under an event's ticket count show?

How full the event is. A bar that is half green means half the tickets are
taken. It turns grey once the event is in the past, and it doesn't appear when
the event has no ticket limit or uses the Venue floor map or Whole venue.

### What does the grey line under an event's name tell me?

The full date, the start time, the venue, and the price, for example "Saturday,
October 18, 2026 · 6:00 PM · Barrel Room · \$95 per guest". "Free" means the
event costs nothing to reserve.

### What do "per guest" and "for the venue" mean after a price?

They say what the price multiplies by. "per guest" means the price is charged
for each guest in the party. "for the venue" means one price for the whole
reservation, whatever the party size, which is how a Whole venue buyout is
priced.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What do "No upcoming events." and "No past events yet." mean?

There are no event dates in the view you picked. Switch between Upcoming and
Past, or add an event date from an experience's Schedule card.

### What is the "Recurring experiences" card?

It lists the experiences that run on a weekly schedule, such as tastings, tours
and restaurant service. An experience that only has event dates is not listed
here; it appears in the Events card instead. An experience with no schedule yet
is listed here.

### What does "3 active · 1 draft" mean?

Three recurring experiences are Active and bookable, and one is still a draft.
Archived experiences aren't counted. Event-only experiences aren't counted either.

### What does the "Venue" filter do?

It shows only experiences that run at the venue you pick. "All venues" shows
them all.

### What does the "Status" filter do, and where are my archived experiences?

"All" shows Active and Draft experiences, but leaves archived ones out on purpose.
To see archived experiences, choose "Archived (2)" from the Status filter. That
option only appears when you have at least one archived experience, and the
number is how many.

### What does the green "Active" badge mean?

The experience is Active: guests can reserve it online and staff can book it.
The list and the experience's own page use the same word.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

### What does the grey "Draft" badge on a recurring experience mean?

The experience isn't bookable yet, by guests or by staff. Open it and set its
status to Active when it's ready.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

### What does the "Members only" badge with a lock mean?

The experience is members only. Online, only signed-in customers recognized as
members can reserve it; other guests see it locked, or not at all, as set
under Who can book on the experience. Your staff can always book it.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What does the "Unlisted" badge mean?

The experience is invisible online. It is not listed and has no product page.
Only your staff can book it, from the admin or the POS. Guests who already hold
a reservation can still manage it.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### Why does an experience show a grey picture icon instead of a photo?

It has no photo yet. Add one in the Details card on the experience's page.
Guests see that photo in the booking window.

### What does the grey line under a recurring experience's name tell me?

Where it runs and when, for example "Tasting Room · Thu–Sun · 11:00 AM–4:00 PM".
The times are the first and last start times of one of its schedules.

### What does "+2 more" after the schedule mean?

The experience has more schedules than the one shown, two more in this case.
Open the experience to see them all in its Schedule card.

### What does "No schedule yet" mean?

The experience has no schedule, so it offers no times to anyone, even when it is
Active. Open it and use "Add weekly schedule" or "Add event date" in the Schedule
card.

### What does "No venue" mean?

The experience isn't linked to any venue, so it can't run anywhere. Open it and
tick a venue in the "Where it runs" card.

### What is the price on the right of a recurring experience?

It is what a guest pays to reserve, with its unit underneath, for example "\$45"
and "per guest". The line below that is the sentence guests read, such as
"Prepaid reservation for parties of 2 to 6".

### What does "Prepaid reservation for parties of 2 to 6" mean?

It is the one-line summary guests see. "Prepaid" means guests pay in full at
checkout when they reserve. "Reservation for parties of…" without "Prepaid"
means the experience is free to book or is charged later. The range is the
smallest and largest party you accept.

### Why does a recurring experience show no price on the right?

It is free to book, so only the guest sentence shows, for example "Reservation
for parties of 1 to 8".

### What does "No recurring experiences yet" mean?

You haven't created anything that runs on a weekly schedule. Click "Add
experience" to create a tasting, a tour or restaurant service.

**See also:** [Create your first experience](/getting-started/create-your-first-experience)

### What does "Nothing matches those filters." mean?

You have experiences, but none match the Venue and Status you picked. Set both
filters back to "All venues" and "All".

### What is "Venues with nothing to book"?

It lists venues you have built where no Active experience runs. Guests can't
reserve anything there yet. Click "Add experience" next to one to create
something for it, or link an existing experience to it in that experience's
"Where it runs" card.

**See also:** [Locations and venues](/getting-started/locations-and-venues)

## Create an experience

### Why does "Create an experience" show a "Draft" badge?

Nothing is saved yet, and if you choose "Save as draft" at the end, the
experience stays a draft. If you leave halfway, nothing is created at all.

### What does "Add a venue first" mean?

Every experience runs in a venue, and you don't have one yet. Build one under
Settings › Venues & floor maps, then come back.

**See also:** [Locations and venues](/getting-started/locations-and-venues)

### What are the numbered steps across the top?

The three steps of the flow: "Experience type", "Schedule" and "Capacity &
price". A tick marks a step you've finished. You can click a finished step to go
back to it, but you can't jump ahead.

### What is the "What are you offering?" step?

It is the first question: pick the kind of thing you run. Your choice sets
sensible starting values for capacity, payment, duration and party sizes. You
can change every one of them later on the experience's page.

**See also:** [Create your first experience](/getting-started/create-your-first-experience)

### What does "Tasting or seated experience" set up?

Manual capacity with 12 guests per start time, paid at checkout, 60-minute
visits plus a 15-minute turn, parties of 1 to 8, start times every 30 minutes,
and online reservations closing 60 minutes ahead.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What does "Restaurant service" set up?

Capacity from the venue's floor map (its tables), free to book, 90-minute visits
plus a 15-minute turn, parties of 1 to 8, start times every 30 minutes, and
online reservations closing 30 minutes ahead. Guests pay for what they order.
If you type a price in step 3, it is saved as an entry fee charged when the
reservation is made, not as free to book.

**See also:** [Tables and the floor map](/getting-started/tables-and-floor-map)

### What does "Tour or group experience" set up?

Manual capacity with 16 spots per departure, paid at checkout, 90-minute tours
plus a 30-minute turn, parties of 1 to 12, hourly departures, and online
reservations closing 2 hours ahead.

### What does "Private buyout" set up?

Whole venue capacity: one reservation takes the entire room. It has one flat
price for the venue, 3-hour visits plus a 1-hour turn, parties of 8 to 40, start
times 3 hours apart so they never overlap, and online reservations closing a full
day ahead.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What does "One-time event" set up?

A single date with one seating, sold as tickets: manual capacity with 60
tickets, paid at checkout, 3 hours long, parties of 1 to 10. It appears in the
Events card on the Experiences list.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### What do the Details fields in the create flow do?

"Name" is what guests and staff call it. "Description" is shown to guests when
they reserve, and your staff can read it on the phone. "Photo" is optional and
appears in the booking window. "Venue" is where it runs.

### What does "Choose from Files" do?

It opens "Choose an image", a list of the images already in your Shopify Files,
so you can reuse one instead of uploading again. Type in "Search by filename" to
find one, then click it.

### What does "No images in your files yet" mean?

Your Shopify Files has no images, or none match the name you searched ("No
images match that name"). Close the window and use "Upload photo" instead. The
upload is saved in your Shopify Files for next time.

### Why is the "Continue" button greyed out?

Something the step needs is missing. On step 1, pick a type, enter a name and
choose a venue. On step 2, pick at least one day, and make sure the last start
time isn't earlier than the first.

### What are "First start time" and "Last start time"?

The first and last times a visit can start, not your opening and closing hours.
With 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and starts every 30 minutes, guests can book 11:00,
11:30 and so on, with 4:00 as the last start.

### What does "Slots every 30 min" mean?

A new start time is offered every 30 minutes between the first and last start
times. The interval comes from the type you picked. You can change it later on
the experience's schedule.

### What does "You can add more schedules — and blackout days — after this." mean?

The flow creates one schedule (or one event date). Add more from the
experience's Schedule card afterwards. Close dates such as holidays under
Settings › Venues & floor maps › Blackout periods.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### What does the capacity question mean in step 3?

It is worded for the type you picked. "Seats per time slot" is how many guests
one start time can take. "Spots per departure" is the group size for one tour.
"Tickets available" is the total for the event. A private buyout has no
capacity box: it reads "One party takes the whole venue. Set the largest party
it can host.", and "Largest party" is the only limit.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### Why is there no "Guest limit" for a private buyout?

A buyout gives one party the whole venue, so the room is the capacity and the
only number that limits it is "Largest party". The step says "One party takes
the whole venue. Set the largest party it can host." Set that to the biggest
group the room can hold.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### Why is there no capacity box for restaurant service?

The venue's tables are the capacity, so there's nothing to type. Make sure the
venue's floor map has its tables drawn. The limit on how many guests can arrive
at once is set on the venue.

**See also:** [Tables and the floor map](/getting-started/tables-and-floor-map)

### What are "Smallest party" and "Largest party"?

The party sizes guests can choose online. A guest can't reserve for fewer or
more people than this. Your staff can override it when needed.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What is the difference between "Price per guest" and "Price for the venue"?

"Price per guest" is multiplied by the party size: \$40 for a party of three is
\$120. "Price for the venue" appears for a Whole venue buyout and is one price for
the whole reservation, whatever the party size. Leave it blank if the experience
is free to book.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What does "Payment is due when the reservation is made" mean?

Guests pay in full at checkout when they reserve online. Reservations your staff
take by phone or in person start as "Payment due" until you collect. You can
change when guests are charged later, in the experience's Pricing card.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What does "Cancellations follow your shop policy" mean?

A new experience uses your shop's cancellation policy, quoted in the sentence
guests will read. To give this experience different rules, open it after
creating and use "Set custom rules for this experience" in Booking rules.

**See also:** [Cancellation policies](/getting-started/cancellation-policies)

### What is "How guests will see it"?

A live preview of the experience as guests will see it, updating as you type:
photo, name, venue, days and times, party sizes, duration, description and price.
"Untitled experience" means you haven't typed a name, and "No days yet" means no
day is selected. "Reserve" is only a picture of the guest's button.

### What does "No booking fee" in the preview mean?

No price is set, so guests will reserve for free. Type a price in step 3 if you
charge for entry.

### What is the difference between "Save as draft" and "Publish"?

"Save as draft" creates the experience as a Draft: nobody can reserve it and no
Shopify product is made yet. "Publish" creates it as Active and creates its
Shopify product right away, so it can sell online. Either way you land on the
experience's page to fine-tune it.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

## Create an experience › When something is refused

### What does "Pick what kind of experience this is" mean?

No type was chosen in step 1. Go back to step 1 and pick one of the five types.

### What does "Give the experience a name" mean?

The Name field is empty. Go back to step 1 and type a name.

### What does "Pick the venue this runs in" mean?

The chosen venue couldn't be found, for example because it was removed in the
meantime. Go back to step 1 and pick a venue from the list.

### What does "Pick the days this runs" mean?

No day of the week is selected for a recurring experience. Go back to step 2
and pick at least one day.

### What does "Pick the event date" mean?

The event's date is missing or not a real date. Go back to step 2 and choose it
from the calendar.

### What does "End time must be HH:mm and not before the start" mean?

The last start time is earlier than the first start time. Go back to step 2 and
pick a last start time that is the same or later.

### What does "Party sizes must be positive, with max at least the min" mean?

The smallest party is less than 1, or the largest party is smaller than the
smallest. Fix the two numbers in step 3.

### What does "Pick an image to upload" or "Upload failed" mean?

The photo didn't reach your Shopify Files. Try again with a JPG, PNG, WebP or
GIF image, or choose an existing image with "Choose from Files".

### What does "Published, but the Shopify product didn't sync" mean?

The experience was created and is Active, but Shopify didn't create its product,
so guests can't buy it online yet. Use "Create Shopify product" in the "Online
store" card to try again.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

## Experience page › Header and status

### What do the badges next to the experience's name mean?

The first badge is the status: green "Active" (bookable), grey "Draft" (not
bookable yet) or blue "Archived" (retired). A second badge appears when the
experience isn't open to everyone: grey "Members only", or grey "Unlisted".

### What is the "Status" card?

It sets whether the experience can be reserved: Draft, Active or Archived. A
change takes effect immediately, with no Save button. Reservations already made
are never changed by a status change.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

### What does "Draft — not yet published" mean?

The experience has never been Active. Nobody can reserve it, and it usually has
no Shopify product yet. Once it has been published at least once, the option
reads plain "Draft".

### What happens when I set an experience to Active?

Guests can reserve it online and staff can book it. Riserva also creates its
Shopify product if it doesn't have one, or sets the product to active, and
creates products for any add-ons still waiting for one. The card then reads
"Live — guests and staff can book it."

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

### What happens when I set an Active experience back to Draft?

Guests and staff can no longer make new reservations, and its Shopify product is
set to draft, so it leaves your storefront. Existing reservations stand. The card
says: "Not bookable. Existing reservations stand; publishing puts this on the
storefront and in staff search."

### What happens when I set an experience to Archived?

It can't be reserved, it drops out of the Experiences list unless you filter for
it, and its Shopify product is archived too. The card says: "Retired and hidden
from the experiences list. Existing reservations and reporting are untouched."

### What do the "Save" and "Discard" buttons at the top of the page do?

They appear as soon as you change a field. "Save" stores every change on the
page at once, and "Discard" puts the fields back as they were. Status, photos,
schedules and add-ons save on their own and don't use this bar.

### What do the green, yellow and red banners at the top of the page mean?

Green means the action worked, for example "Product created and linked". Yellow
starting "Saved — but:" means your changes were saved but something connected to
them, usually in Shopify, didn't follow. Red means nothing was saved; read the
message, fix the field and try again.

## Experience page › Details

### What do "Name" and "Description" do?

The name is what guests and staff see everywhere. The description is "Shown to
guests when reserving". Both are also copied to the experience's Shopify product
when you save.

### What is "Good to know (emails)"?

A short note for guests, such as arrival details, parking or a dress code. It is
included in this experience's confirmation, reminder and update emails. It can be
up to 1,000 characters.

**See also:** [Guest emails](/guest-experience/customer-emails)

### How do I add or change the experience's photo?

Drop an image on "Add a photo of this experience", or click "Replace" next to the
current one. "Remove" takes it off. Photo changes save straight away and are
copied to the Shopify product.

### What does "The linked Shopify product's title, description, and photo update automatically when you save." mean?

The experience has a Shopify product, and Riserva keeps it in step: saving here
copies the name, description, photo, price and status to the product. Edits made
directly to the product in Shopify are overwritten on your next save.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

### What does "That file type isn't supported — use an image" mean?

The file you dropped isn't an image. Use a JPG, PNG or similar picture file.

### What does "Photo saved — but attaching it to the Shopify product failed" mean?

Riserva kept the photo, so guests see it in the booking window, but the Shopify
product didn't get it. Upload the photo again to retry. "Photo removed — but
detaching it from the Shopify product failed" is the same for removing a photo.

## Experience page › Pricing

### What does "Are you charging for entry?" mean?

It asks whether guests pay to reserve. "Yes — guests pay a fee to reserve" shows
the price and when it's charged. "No — free to book" means guests reserve for
free and pay for what they buy at the winery.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What happens to the price when I choose "No — free to book"?

The price is set to zero and nothing is collected when guests reserve. The fee
credit and "When is it charged?" disappear too, because there's nothing to
charge.

### What if I choose "Yes" but leave the price at \$0?

Nothing is collected. With no price, reservations cost nothing, whatever you
picked under "When is it charged?". Enter a price above zero to charge guests.

### What does "Collected at checkout when the reservation is made." mean under the price?

It is a reminder that the price per guest is charged through your store's
checkout when guests reserve online, because "When is it charged?" below is set
to "At booking — paid at checkout". When it is set to one of the charge-later
options, the line reads "Saved at checkout; charged when the option below says."
instead.

### What does "Saved at checkout; charged when the option below says." mean under the price?

"When is it charged?" is set to a charge-later option, so online guests don't
pay the price at checkout: their card is saved there and charged at the moment
that option names, such as before the visit, at check-in or when the visit is
closed out.

### What does "Credit the fee toward the guest's bill" mean?

What the guest paid to reserve comes off what they buy during the visit, so the
tasting fee is waived with purchase. At the register, staff apply it from the
Bill credits tile. The box isn't offered when "When is it charged?" is "At the
visit — charged when closing out, or settled at the register", because there
the fee meets the bill at the register itself.

**See also:** [Reservations in Shopify POS](/daily-operations/pos)

### What does "When is it charged?" mean?

It decides when an online guest's card is charged for the entry fee. "At booking
— paid at checkout" charges in full when they reserve. The other options —
"Before the visit — charged automatically", "At check-in — charged
automatically" and "At the visit — charged when closing out, or settled at the
register" — save the card at checkout and charge it later.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What does "At booking — paid at checkout" mean?

The guest pays the full price at checkout when they reserve online. It works with
every payment method your checkout offers. Reservations made by staff start as
"Payment due" until collected.

### What does "Before the visit — charged automatically" mean?

The guest's card is saved at checkout and charged automatically a set number of
hours before the visit, which you choose in "Charge lead". Charges run once an
hour, so one lands within the hour after it is due. Checking the party in
collects it on the spot if it hasn't happened yet.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What does "At check-in — charged automatically" mean?

The guest's card is saved at checkout and charged when your team checks the
party in, from the admin or the register.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What does "At the visit — charged when closing out, or settled at the register" mean?

The guest's card is saved at checkout and nothing is charged until the visit.
If the guest pays the fee at the register together with what they buy, that
settles it and the saved card is never charged. If not, the saved card is
charged for the fee once the visit is closed out (completed by your team, or
ended by itself), after a short wait so a register sale still on its way counts
first. Add-ons bought online wait on the card with the fee; if the register
settles the fee or it is waived, the card is charged for the add-ons alone. Guests see
it at checkout as "Billed at the end of your visit".

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What does "Waive the fee when the rest of the sale is over" mean?

It is a spend rule for the register. When the rest of the guest's sale is over
this amount, the Bill credits tile suggests waiving the entry fee instead of
adding it, and a waived fee is never charged to the saved card. Leave it blank
to use the shop rule from Settings › Policies › "Entry fees at the register",
or to have no rule when that is blank too.

**See also:** [Reservations in Shopify POS](/daily-operations/pos)

### Why are "Before the visit", "At check-in" and "At the visit" missing under "When is it charged?"?

Charging a saved card later isn't switched on for your store yet, so only "At
booking — paid at checkout" is offered. An experience that already uses one of
those options keeps it in the list.

### What does "The guest's card is saved at checkout and charged automatically. Online bookings only…" mean?

It lists the trade-offs of charging later. Only online reservations can save a
card; phone and POS reservations still need a payment link or the register. A
checkout that saves a card doesn't offer Shop Pay, Apple Pay or local payment
methods, which is Shopify's rule.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What is "Charge lead"?

How many hours before the visit the saved card is charged, for example 48 for
two days ahead. It must be at least 1 hour. Guests see it at checkout as
"Billed 48 hours before your visit".

### What is "Billed 48 hours before your visit"?

It is the payment option's name that guests see in the cart and at checkout. It
follows your settings: "Billed when you check in" for the check-in option,
"Billed at the end of your visit" for the at-the-visit option, and the number of
hours for "Before the visit". It never says "deposit", because nothing is taken
at checkout.

### What is "Advanced" in the Pricing card?

It holds one less common choice: what happens when a guest reserves less than the
charge lead before their visit. Most wineries leave it alone.

### What does "Bookings made inside the 48-hour window" mean?

It decides how guests pay when they reserve so close to the visit that the
charge time has already passed. "Charge at checkout" (the default) has them pay
now and confirms the reservation on the spot. "Charge on the usual schedule"
saves their card and charges it at the next hourly collection, like every other
reservation.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### Why did "Advanced" open by itself in the Pricing card?

The experience is set to "Charge on the usual schedule", which is not the
default. Riserva keeps it open so a setting that changes billing is never hidden
from you.

## Experience page › Guest questions

### What is the "Guest questions" card?

Questions guests answer when they reserve online, such as the occasion or
dietary needs. They are "Asked on step 2 of the booking window", and the answers
appear on the reservation's page.

**See also:** [Ask guests your own questions](/guest-experience/intake-questions)

### What are the question types?

"Text" is a free-text box. "Single choice" lets guests pick one of your choices.
"Multiple choice" lets them pick several. "Yes / No" is a simple yes or no.

**See also:** [Ask guests your own questions](/guest-experience/intake-questions)

### What does the "Required" box do?

Guests can't finish reserving online without answering that question. Your staff
are not asked guest questions when they book.

### What are the dotted handle and the red trash can on a question?

Drag the dotted handle on the left to change the order; guests are asked in the
order shown. You can also click the handle and use the arrow keys. The red trash
can removes the question.

### What do "Add choice", "Guests pick one." and "Guests can pick several." mean?

They appear on Single choice and Multiple choice questions. "Add choice" adds an
answer guests can pick. The hint says whether guests choose one answer or
several.

### Why did the "Add question" button disappear?

An experience can have up to 5 questions, and you've reached that. Remove one to
add another.

### What happens to a question I left blank?

It is dropped when you save. You don't need to delete an empty row you added by
mistake.

### What do "needs at least two choices" or "has duplicate choices" mean?

A choice question must offer at least two different answers. Add a second choice,
or change one of two identical choices, then save again. Other limits: 80
characters per question, up to 10 choices of 40 characters each.

**See also:** [Ask guests your own questions](/guest-experience/intake-questions)

## Experience page › Capacity & party

### What is "Capacity strategy"?

It decides what a reservation uses up, and so when a time is full. There are
four choices: "Manual capacity", "Venue floor map", "Whole venue" and "Open (no
limit)". A blue box under the choice explains how the one you picked behaves.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What does "Manual capacity" mean?

You set how many guests each start time can take, like tickets. Each start time
sells separately, even when visits overlap, and the venue's floor map isn't
checked. Use it for tours, classes and ticketed events.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What does "Venue floor map" mean?

The venue's tables and seat pools set the capacity. A reservation holds its
table or seats for the whole visit plus the turn time, so overlapping start
times share the same seats. Shared (communal) seat pools take several parties at
once, and combinable tables seat larger parties together.

**See also:** [Tables and the floor map](/getting-started/tables-and-floor-map)

### What does "Whole venue" mean?

One reservation takes the entire venue for its visit and turn time, and nothing
else can be reserved there meanwhile. The price is one flat price for the venue,
not per guest. Use it for private buyouts.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What does "Open (no limit)" mean?

Every start time takes reservations with no cap, unless you set an optional "Max
per slot". Party-size limits still apply, and so does the venue's limit on how
many guests may start in the same 15 minutes.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What are "Min party" and "Max party"?

The smallest and largest party guests can reserve online. Staff can go beyond
them with an explicit override. They apply under every capacity strategy.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What is "Max per slot"?

Under Manual capacity it is "How many guests each start time can take". Under
Open it is an optional cap, and blank means unlimited. A schedule's "Capacity
override" or an event date's "Tickets" replaces it for those times.

### Why did "Max per slot" disappear?

It only applies to Manual capacity and Open. Under Venue floor map the tables set
capacity, and under Whole venue the room does. Riserva keeps the number you had,
so it comes back if you switch back.

### What is "Max groups per slot" under Advanced?

It caps how many separate parties can start at the same time, whatever their
size. Twelve seats can be twelve solo guests or two parties of six, and this
setting lets you limit that. Leave it blank for no limit.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### Where is the "Communal seating" setting?

It is no longer on the experience page. Whether parties share a table is set on
the table or seat pool itself, in the venue's floor map.

**See also:** [Tables and the floor map](/getting-started/tables-and-floor-map)

## Experience page › Schedule

### What are "Duration (min)" and "Buffer / turn (min)"?

Duration is how long a visit lasts. Buffer or turn is the reset time after each
visit, such as clearing and resetting glasses. Together they are how long a
reservation holds its table or room.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### What does "Link this experience to at least one venue before adding schedule rules." mean?

A schedule must name a venue, and this experience isn't linked to one. Tick a
venue in "Where it runs", save, then add schedules.

### What does "No schedules yet" mean?

The experience has no days or dates, so it offers no times even when Active. Add
a weekly schedule for days it repeats, or an event date for a single seating.

### What is the difference between "Add weekly schedule" and "Add event date"?

A weekly schedule repeats on the days you pick, with start times between a first
and last slot. An event date is one date with one start time. An experience can
have several of either.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### How do I read a schedule row?

A weekly row shows its days, such as "Thu–Sun", then the first and last start
times, how often visits start, the venue, and "capacity 20" if it has its own
capacity. An event row shows the date, then the time, the venue, and "40
tickets" if it has its own limit.

### What does the "Past" badge on a schedule mean?

That event date has already happened. It no longer offers times. You can keep it
for the record or delete it from its three-dot menu. Once every date an
experience has is in the past, your store's Experiences list and the POS Book
tile stop showing it; its reservations and its row under Past in the Events
card stay.

### What does the yellow "Venue not linked" badge mean?

The schedule's venue is no longer ticked under "Where it runs", so the schedule
offers no times. Open the schedule with "Edit" and pick one of the ticked venues,
or tick the venue again.

### What do "Edit" and "Delete" in a schedule's three-dot menu do?

"Edit" opens the schedule to change it. "Delete" removes it right away, with no
undo. Deleting a weekly schedule leaves the reservations already made for its
times in place. An event date that guests still hold reservations for can't be
deleted: Riserva refuses with "3 reservations hold this date — move them from
the reservation list first" under the row, so move those reservations to
another date first.

### What does "Venue" in the schedule window mean?

The room this schedule runs in. Only venues ticked under "Where it runs" are
offered.

### What are "First slot" and "Last slot"?

The first and last times a visit can start. As the window says, the last slot is
the last start time, and a visit beginning then still runs its full duration.

### What is "Slot every (min)"?

How often a new start time is offered between the first and last slot, for
example every 30 minutes. It must be at least 5 minutes.

### What is "Capacity override"?

An optional guest limit for this schedule's start times that replaces the
experience's "Max per slot". Use it when, say, Saturdays run in a bigger room. It
appears only under Manual capacity and Open.

### Why does the schedule window tell me to match the interval to the duration?

For a Whole venue buyout, start times closer together than the visit length
overlap the room's own reservation. Set "Slot every" to the duration so guests
see one or two sensible start times, not one every 30 minutes.

### What does the yellow "Starts every 30 min with 60-min visits overlap" warning mean?

Under Manual capacity each start time sells its own allotment, so overlapping
visits can sell the same physical seats twice. If the visits share seats, switch
the experience to Venue floor map, or space start times at least one visit
apart.

**See also:** [Capacity strategies explained](/core-concepts/capacity-strategies)

### What are "Event date", "Time" and "Tickets"?

The single date, its one start time, and an optional ticket limit for that date.
Blank Tickets uses the experience's "Max per slot". Tickets only limit sales
under Manual capacity or Open; under Venue floor map or Whole venue, the tables
or the room set the limit.

### I pressed "Add" or "Save" in the schedule window and nothing happened. Why?

Something is missing or doesn't fit, and the window now says what in red under
that field: "Pick a venue", "Pick at least one day", "Pick a date" (event
dates), "Pick a time", "Last slot can't be before the first slot", "Enter 5
minutes or more" (Slot every), or, for a capacity or tickets number, "Enter a
whole number, 1 or more — or leave it blank" ("Enter a whole number of
tickets, 1 or more — or leave it blank" on an event date). The button stays
pressable; fix the field and press it again. Each message clears as its field
is corrected.

### Why does the event date window say "3 reservations hold this date — move them from the reservation list first"?

Guests already hold tickets for that date, and a reservation keeps the date and
time it was sold for. Saving a new date would move the event on your calendar
while every ticket-holder stayed on the old one, so Riserva refuses it and says
so in red under the field. To move the event:

1. Add the new date with "Add event date" on the same experience.
2. Open each reservation from the reservation list and move it to the new date
   with "Edit reservation".
3. Come back and change or delete the old date. It saves once no reservation
   is left on it.

The same message appears under "Time" ("3 reservations hold this time — …")
when you change the start time, and under "Venue" ("3 reservations hold this
date at this venue — …") when you change the room. With one reservation it reads
"1 reservation holds this date — move it from the reservation list first".
Changing "Tickets" is not a move and saves, as long as it stays at or above
the number of guests already holding tickets. Cancelled, completed and no-show
reservations don't count.

Deleting the date (the date's ⋯ → "Delete") is refused the same way, with
"3 reservations hold this date — move them from the reservation list first" in
red under the date's row: the reservations would stay on a date that no longer
exists.

### Why does "Tickets" say "8 tickets are sold — the count can't go below 8"?

You lowered the ticket count below the number of guests already holding
tickets for that date. Riserva keeps the count at or above what is sold, so
the event never reads "8 / 6 tickets". Enter that number or more, or cancel
reservations first. Cancelled, completed and no-show reservations don't
count. Floor-map and whole-venue events are not checked: their tables or the
room decide how many fit, not the ticket count.

### What does "Someone is checking out for this date right now — try again in a few minutes" mean?

A guest is in checkout for that event date right now. Their checkout holds the
seats for about 12 minutes. Wait for it to finish (it then becomes a
reservation, and you move it like any other) or lapse, and save again.

## Experience page › Booking rules

### What is "Online booking cutoff (min)"?

How many minutes before a start time online reservations close. With 60, the
3:00 PM tasting stops being offered online at 2:00 PM. Your staff can always book
past it.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What does "Follows your shop policy — …" mean?

This experience uses your shop's cancellation policy, quoted the way guests read
it. Change it for every experience with "Edit shop policy", or for this one only
with "Set custom rules for this experience".

**See also:** [Cancellation policies](/getting-started/cancellation-policies)

### What does "Set custom rules for this experience" do?

It gives this experience its own refund rules and online self-service settings,
starting from a copy of your shop policy. Everything else still follows the shop
policy. Your changes apply when you save.

**See also:** [Cancellation policies](/getting-started/cancellation-policies)

### What does "Use the shop policy instead" do?

It drops this experience's custom rules and goes back to your shop policy when
you save.

### What do "All sales final" and "Refund on a schedule" mean?

"All sales final" means no automatic refunds; you can still refund by hand in
Shopify. "Refund on a schedule" sets steps such as "100% refund until 2 days
before the visit". With less notice than the last step, or once the visit has
started, there's no refund.

**See also:** [Cancellation policies](/getting-started/cancellation-policies)

### What is "Add partial-refund step"?

It adds another step with a smaller refund closer to the visit, such as "50%
refund until 4 hours before the visit". You can have up to three steps. Each
later step must be closer to the visit and refund less than the one before.

### What is "How guests will read it"?

The exact sentence guests see, built from your settings and updating as you
change them. The same sentence appears in confirmation emails and on the
reservation.

### What do "Guests can cancel online" and "Guests can reschedule online" do?

Each switch adds a button to the guest's manage-reservation page. Cancelling
refunds according to your schedule. Rescheduling is offered while a refund is
still available, or until your cutoff if nothing is ever refunded.

**See also:** [Guest self-serve](/guest-experience/guest-self-serve)

### What does "Closes 2 days before the visit" mean?

It is an optional cutoff: guests can no longer cancel (or reschedule) online
closer to the visit than this. Leave it blank for no limit. The boxes are greyed
out while the switch above them is off.

### What does "With all sales final, guests can cancel — but nothing is refunded." mean?

You chose all sales final but still let guests cancel online. They can free up
their place, but they get no money back.

## Experience page › Add-ons

### What is the "Add-ons" card?

Optional extras guests can add when reserving, such as a cheese plate or a
reserve pour. Each add-on sells as its own Shopify product.

**See also:** [What guests see](/guest-experience/what-guests-see)

### What is the difference between "Create a new product" and "Link an existing product…"?

"Create a new product" has Riserva make a product for the add-on, hidden from
search and collections. "Link an existing product…" uses a product you already
sell; you pick it first, and its name, price and photo come from it.

**See also:** [What guests see](/guest-experience/what-guests-see)

### What do the fields in the add-on window mean?

"Name" is up to 60 characters. "Description" is shown to guests and on the
product. "Price" and "Priced" set what it costs and how it multiplies. "Photo"
is shown to guests and on the Shopify product. Changes to name, description or
price are copied to the product when you save.

### What do "Per party", "Per guest" and "Each (guest picks quantity)" mean?

"Per party" is one price for the whole reservation. "Per guest" is charged once
for every guest in the party. "Each" lets the guest choose how many, up to the
"Max quantity" you set (1 to 20).

### Why is the add-on's price box greyed out?

You're linking a product, and its price comes from that product. After adding,
you can edit the price here and the change is copied to the product.

### Why is there no price box for this add-on?

The add-on offers several variants of one product, each with its own price taken
from the product. Change prices on the product in Shopify. "Variants offered"
lists each variant and its price.

### What does "Linked product" with "Change" mean?

It names the product you picked to link. "Change" opens the product picker again
so you can choose another. If you pick several variants of one product, it says
how many.

### What does "\$12.00 · per guest" under an add-on mean?

The add-on's price and how it is charged. "each (max 4)" means guests pick a
quantity up to four. "From \$12.00 · per party · 3 variants" means guests choose
among three variants, the cheapest at \$12.

### What does the "Hidden" badge on an add-on mean?

Guests aren't offered this add-on any more. Its product and past purchases are
untouched. Use "Show to guests" in its three-dot menu to offer it again.

### What does the red "Product is draft" badge on an add-on mean?

The add-on's Shopify product is a draft, so guests can't buy it. Set the product
to Active or Unlisted in Shopify, then reload this page.

### What does the red "Product is archived" badge on an add-on mean?

The add-on's Shopify product is archived, so guests can't buy it. Unarchive the
product in Shopify, or remove the add-on and create it again.

### What does the yellow "Not on Online Store" badge on an add-on mean?

The add-on's product isn't available on your Online Store sales channel, so the
storefront cart can refuse it. Add the product to the Online Store channel in
Shopify. Saving the add-on again also tries to fix it.

### What does the yellow "Ships to the guest" badge on an add-on mean?

The add-on is linked to a Shopify product that is set to ship. Guests who add
it when booking online are asked for a shipping address and a shipping method
at checkout, and the Shopify order lists it as an item to ship. For something
served at the visit, like a bottle opened at the table, create the add-on in
Riserva instead — Riserva's own add-on products never ship.

### What does "This product is set to ship" mean in the Edit add-on window?

The same thing as the **Ships to the guest** badge, said in full: checkout will
ask guests who add it for a shipping address and a shipping method. Create the
add-on in Riserva for something served at the visit.

### What does the yellow "No product — retry from the menu" badge mean?

The experience is Active, but this add-on has no Shopify product, so guests can't
buy it. Open its three-dot menu and choose "Create Shopify product" or "Link to
existing product…".

### What does "Product is created when the experience is published" mean?

The experience is still a draft, so the add-on's product waits. It is created
automatically when you set the experience to Active.

### What does the yellow "Charged at checkout — retry" badge mean?

The experience charges later, but this add-on didn't join that payment option,
so guests would pay for it at checkout instead. Choose "Charge this with the
reservation" in its three-dot menu to try again.

It never shows on an "At the visit — charged when closing out" experience:
there, add-ons are charged at checkout on purpose (the fee alone waits on the
saved card), so there is nothing to retry.

**See also:** [Payment policies and money states](/core-concepts/payment-policies)

### What do the options in an add-on's three-dot menu do?

"Edit" opens the add-on window. "Hide from guests" / "Show to guests" stops or
restarts offering it. "View product in Shopify" opens its product. "Create
Shopify product" and "Link to existing product…" only appear while it has no
product. "Charge this with the reservation" only appears next to the "Charged at
checkout — retry" badge. "Remove" takes it off this experience.

### What happens when I "Remove" an add-on?

The add-on is taken off this experience, but its Shopify product stays in your
store and past reservations keep the add-ons guests bought. To point an add-on
at a different product, remove it and add it again.

## Experience page › Right-hand rail

### What does "Who can book" mean?

It sets who can reserve online: "Anyone", "Members only", or "Unlisted — staff
book it". Your staff can always book every option.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What does "Members only" mean?

Online, only guests signed in as a recognized member can book it. Other guests
see it listed with no times, and its **Book** button opens a "Reserved for
members" notice with a link to join, unless you untick "Show it to non-members
as locked, with a link to join". Staff can always book it. Members are
recognized from their Shopify customer tags.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What does "Show it to non-members as locked, with a link to join" do?

Ticked (the default), non-members see this members-only experience in your
store's Experiences list like any other card, but with no times; pressing
**Book** opens a "Reserved for members" notice with your message, a join
button and Sign in. Unticked, non-members never see it listed. Either way only
members can book it online. It appears only when "Members only" is chosen; the
message and the join link are set under Settings → Memberships.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What does the "No member tags are set up yet" warning mean?

Riserva doesn't know which customers are members yet, so no guest can reserve
this experience online. Signed-in customers see a members-only notice instead of
open times. Add member recognition under Settings › Memberships.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### What does "Unlisted — staff book it" mean?

The experience is invisible online: no listing and no product page. Its Shopify
product is on the POS channel only. Staff book it from the admin and the POS, and
guests who hold a reservation can still manage it. It is made for private events.

**See also:** [Party size, cutoffs and who can book](/core-concepts/party-size-and-visibility)

### Why can't I choose "Unlisted"?

The Unlisted option isn't switched on for your store yet. An experience that is
already unlisted keeps the option. Contact us if you need it.

### What is the "Organization" card?

It holds the experience's tags. Tags group experiences for your store: an
Experiences list block can show only the experiences carrying one tag.

**See also:** [Experiences and one-off events](/core-concepts/experiences-and-events)

### How do I add or remove a tag?

Type a tag in "Tags" and press Enter (or a comma); it becomes a chip. Click a
chip's × to remove it, or press Backspace in the empty field to remove the
last one. Save the page with the bar at the top.

### What does "Also used:" under Tags mean?

It lists tags already on your other experiences. Click one to add it here, so
the same tag is spelled the same way everywhere.

### Do capitals matter in tags?

No. "Napa" and "napa" are the same tag, both on the experience and when an
Experiences list block filters by tag.

### Where are tags used?

In your theme editor, the Experiences list block's "Only experiences tagged"
setting shows only the experiences carrying that one tag — for a family-visits
page, say. Guests never see the tags themselves.

**See also:** [Add the booking widget to your theme](/getting-started/add-the-booking-widget)

### What is "Where it runs"?

The venues this experience runs in; tick one or more. With one venue ticked, its
schedules move with it when you change venues. With several, each schedule keeps
its own venue.

**See also:** [Locations and venues](/getting-started/locations-and-venues)

### What does "No venues yet — build one under Settings → Venues & floor maps." mean?

Your store has no venues, so there's nothing to tick. Build one under Settings ›
Venues & floor maps.

**See also:** [Locations and venues](/getting-started/locations-and-venues)

### What does "Saved. The schedule moved to … with the experience." mean?

You changed the one venue this experience runs in, and its schedules moved with
it, as intended. Nothing else to do.

### What is the "Online store" card?

It shows whether the experience has the Shopify product that guests buy through.
"Linked to a Shopify product…" means it does, with a "View product" link.
"Guests buy through a Shopify product. Create one to sell this online." means it
doesn't yet.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

### What does "Create Shopify product" do?

It creates the experience's Shopify product, with the name, description, photo
and price, and marks it as a service with no shipping and no stock count.
"Product created and linked" confirms it. Setting the experience to Active also
does this automatically.

**See also:** [Publish an experience](/getting-started/publish-an-experience)

## Experience page › When something is refused

### What does "Name is required" mean?

The Name field in Details is empty. Type a name and save again.

### What does "Duration is required" mean?

"Duration (min)" in the Schedule card is empty or zero. Enter how many minutes a
visit lasts.

### What does "Min party must be at least 1, and Max party can't be smaller than Min party." mean?

Min party is below 1, or Max party is smaller than Min party. Fix the two numbers
in Capacity & party.

### What does "Price must be a non-negative amount" mean?

The price isn't a valid amount, for example it is negative. Enter zero or more.

### What does "Max groups per slot must be a positive number" mean?

The number under Capacity & party › Advanced is zero or not a number. Enter 1 or
more, or leave it blank for no limit.

### What does "Enter how many hours before the visit the card should be charged." mean?

"Before the visit — charged automatically" needs to know how many hours before
the visit to charge. Enter 1 or more in "Charge lead".

### What does "Unlisted visibility isn't available on this shop yet." mean?

Your store can't make an experience unlisted yet. Pick "Anyone" or "Members only"
and save again.

### What do the "Refund step" messages mean when I save custom rules?

A refund step is incomplete or out of order. Each step needs how far before the
visit it ends and a refund between 1% and 100%. Each later step must be closer to
the visit and refund less than the one before. "Add at least one refund step, or
choose all sales final" means the schedule is empty.

**See also:** [Cancellation policies](/getting-started/cancellation-policies)

### What does "enter a whole number of days or hours, or leave it blank" mean?

An online cancellation or reschedule cutoff isn't a whole number. Type a whole
number, or clear the box for no limit.

### What does "The experience changed while you were editing it — reload." mean?

Someone else changed the experience's status at the same moment. Reload the page
to see where it stands, then choose the status again if needed.

### What does "Saved — but: Pushing content to the Shopify product failed" mean?

Your changes are saved in Riserva, but the Shopify product didn't get the new
name, description or price. Save again to retry. Until it works, the product in
Shopify shows the old details.

### What does "One schedule is for a venue this experience no longer runs at" mean?

You unticked a venue that a schedule still uses, and the experience runs at more
than one venue, so Riserva didn't guess where to move it. Edit the schedule
marked "Venue not linked" and pick a ticked venue, or it offers no times.

### What does "The status changed, but the Shopify product didn't sync" mean?

The status change took effect in Riserva, but the Shopify product didn't follow.
If the experience is Active and has no product, use "Create Shopify product" in
the Online store card; otherwise save the experience to push it again.

### What does "Published — but some add-on products didn't create" mean?

The experience is Active, but one or more add-ons got no Shopify product, so
guests can't buy those add-ons. Open each one's three-dot menu and choose
"Create Shopify product".

### What does "saving cards for later charges isn't available yet: this store hasn't granted the payment permissions" mean?

Your store hasn't given Riserva the Shopify permission it needs to save cards for
later charging, so the charge-later option couldn't be set up. Guests can't be
charged later until it is. Contact us to sort out the permission, or switch to
"At booking — paid at checkout".

### What does "The saved-card checkout option didn't sync" mean?

Your settings are saved, but Shopify didn't set up the charge-later option on the
product. Guests may not be offered it at checkout. Save the experience again to
retry.

### What does "Add-on saved — but: …" mean?

The add-on is saved in Riserva, but something on its Shopify product didn't
follow, such as creating the product, linking it, or its photo. The message says
which. Use the add-on's three-dot menu to retry, or edit and save it again.

### What does "Linked — but the product is a DRAFT" mean?

The link worked, but the product you linked can't be bought yet. A draft product
needs to be set to Active or Unlisted in Shopify. The same message can say the
product is archived, or isn't on the Online Store.

### What does "Choose variants from a single product" mean?

One add-on can link to one product only. In the product picker, choose variants
of just one product.

### What does "That product variant no longer exists" mean?

The product or variant you picked was deleted in Shopify. Pick a different
product.

### What does "Max quantity must be between 1 and 20" mean?

For an add-on guests buy by quantity, the most they can add must be from 1 to
20\. Enter a number in that range.

### What does "Add-on name must be 60 characters or fewer" mean?

The add-on's name is too long. Shorten it to 60 characters or fewer.

### I pressed "Add" or "Save" in the add-on window and nothing happened. Why?

Something is missing, and the window now says what in red under that field:
"Enter a name", "Name must be 60 characters or fewer", "Enter a price of 0 or
more", "Enter a number from 1 to 20" (Max quantity, for an "Each" add-on), or
"Choose the product to link" when linking. The button stays pressable; fix the
field and press it again.

### What does "Could not create the Shopify product" mean?

Shopify refused to create the product for the experience or add-on, and the
message gives its reason. Try again in a moment; if it keeps failing, contact us
with the message.

### What does "Couldn't add it to the pay-later option" mean?

Retrying "Charge this with the reservation" failed, so this add-on is still
charged at checkout. Try again later, or contact us with the message.

### What does "The removed add-on's product still offers the pay-later option in Shopify" mean?

You removed the add-on, but its product still carries the charge-later option in
Shopify. Guests buying that product elsewhere could still be offered it. Contact
us so we can clear it.
